Accountants and Bookkeepers - Apron Card Referral Programme

  1. WHAT THESE WORDS MEAN

    In these terms ("Terms"):

    1. "AB" means you, an accounting practice, bookkeeper, or accountant taking part in this program;

    2. "Apron", "we", "us", or "our" means Apron Payments Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 13779960), registered office at 201 Bishopsgate, EC2M 3AB, authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority;

    3. "Apron Card" means our prepaid business expense card;

    4. "Client" means a business you refer to us for an Apron Card;

    5. "Referral Program" means this program where you can earn rewards for referring clients;

    6. "Reward" means the £100 gift card you earn for a successful referral;

    7. "Qualifying Spend" means when your referred client spends at least £2,000 on their Apron Card on Qualifying Transactions;

    8. "Qualifying Transaction(s)" means an eligible transaction made using your Apron Card as set out in paragraph 3.4 below; and

    9. "Gift Card" means a prepaid card or voucher from a retailer you choose.

  2. WHO CAN JOIN
    1. You can join our Referral Program if you:

      1. are a UK based accounting practice, bookkeeper, or accountant registered with, or supervised by, a recognised UK professional body or authority; and
      2. already work with Apron or sign up as our partner; and
      3. follow all relevant laws; and
      4. are not banned or restricted from taking part for any other legal or regulatory reason.
    2. We may check your eligibility and ask for proof.

    3. Our employees, directors, and their immediate family cannot join this program.

  3. REFERRED CLIENT ELIGIBILITY
    1. For a referred client to be eligible for referral reward, the client must:

      1. Sign up for Apron Card;
      2. Successfully complete Apron's onboarding process, including Know Your Business ("KYB") checks; and
      3. Accept Apron Payments' Terms and Conditions,
    2. If the referred Client's KYB or verification fails or a participant is found to be ineligible, you will not be eligible for a Reward.

  4. HOW IT WORKS
    1. This promotion is available from 20 October 2025 and will only be applicable to clients referred to Apron on or after this date.

    2. You can refer a client by:

      1. telling them about Apron Card services;
      2. helping them apply for an Apron Card; or
      3. introducing them to our services directly,

      For the avoidance of doubt, only one reward will be available to you/your practice for each client successfully referred as set out in paragraph 5 below. If two practices or accountants refer to the same client, it will be the AB reporting the referral to us first (as set out in paragraph 4.2 below) who will be entitled to the reward.

    3. To claim your reward:

      1. contact us at referrals@getapron.com;
      2. tell us you're the referring AB;
      3. give us details of the client you referred;
      4. confirm the email address to which you would like to receive your gift card; and
      5. agree to these Terms.
    4. You'll get your reward when your referred client spends £2,000 on their Apron Card on Qualifying Transactions within 60 days from the date on which the referred client makes its first successful transaction using Apron Card.

    5. Qualifying Transactions include:

      1. purchases made using your Apron Card;
      2. online transactions processed through your Apron Card; and
      3. contactless payments made with your Apron Card,

      Qualifying Transactions does not include:

      1. ATM withdrawals;
      2. cash advances;
      3. E-money drawdowns;
      4. cryptocurrencies;
      5. balance transfers;
      6. fees and charges;
      7. Gambling transactions; or
      8. transactions we determine to be fraudulent or in breach our Terms and Conditions,

      we reserve the right to amend this list of exclusions as required to ensure legal and regulatory compliance during the Promotion.

      We may rely on merchant category codes and/or scheme data to determine whether a transaction falls within an excluded category and this category code or scheme data shall be final evidence of whether a transaction is excluded or not.

      Refunds, reversals, and chargebacks do not count towards Qualifying Spend.

  5. GETTING YOUR REWARD
    1. We'll send you a £100 gift card when:

      1. your referred client gets approved for an Apron Card; and
      2. they spend £2,000 on their card; and
      3. you've claimed your reward in accordance with clause 4.2.
    2. We'll aim to send your gift card within 30 days of your client reaching £2,000 in spend.

    3. We choose what type of gift card to send, unless we agree otherwise with you.

  6. IMPORTANT LIMITS
    1. You only get one reward per client, even if multiple ABs claim to have referred them.

    2. You cannot refer yourself or a business you own.

    3. Rewards can't be transferred and have no cash value beyond the gift card amount.

    4. We may limit how many referrals you can make.

    5. This program cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so.

  7. CHANGES AND ENDING THE PROGRAM
    1. We can change, pause, or end this program anytime, for any reason, by giving you written notice.

    2. We can immediately stop your participation if you:

      1. break these Terms;
      2. act fraudulently or misleadingly;
      3. risk our reputation or business; or
      4. if required by law or regulation.
    3. If we end the program, we'll still consider reward claims based on the Terms when you made the referral.

  8. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. You must:

      1. give accurate information about our services;
      2. only use our official marketing materials when representing us;
      3. follow all laws, including data protection rules;
      4. maintain professional standards; and
      5. not do anything that could harm our reputation.
    2. Do not use spam or inappropriate marketing when referring clients.

  9. DATA PROTECTION
    1. Both you and we must follow UK data protection laws (GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018).

    2. Please ensure you obtain all required consent from clients before sharing their personal information with us.

    3. We handle personal data according to our privacy policy.

  10. LIABILITY
    1. Our maximum liability under these Terms is limited to unpaid rewards we owe you.

    2. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

    3. You agree to protect us from any claims arising from your participation or if you break these Terms.

  11. GENERAL
    1. These Terms are the complete agreement between us about this program.

    2. English law governs these Terms and English courts have jurisdiction.

    3. If any part of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains in effect.

    4. We can transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms.

    5. If we do not enforce a right, that does not mean we've given it up.
